One of our pastors is teaching our Sunday School class right now, and he was talking about feeling grateful. Complaining is something I really struggle with, so I'm trying to work on it. Here are the complaints I was able to turn into blessings. It's amazing how much happier and positive I felt, and it's certainly got to be nicer for those around me!
Instead of complaining about having to go to work, I felt blessed that I have a job to go to. Our family has been relatively untouched by the recession, and that is truly a wonderful thing.
Instead of feeling resentful that I didn't get to eat my breakfast in peace and quiet, I took joy in the lap full of daughters who wanted to share my cereal with me.
Instead of complaining about how tired and sore and icky I feel at 9 months pregnant... Okay, well some of that may have gotten out. But I am grateful to be pregnant (especially after we worried for so long that we wouldn't have kids), for my body that handles pregnancy well, and for the little boy who will be joining our family any day now!
